Happy Earth Day to all from the 30km crew!
Be sure to check out the
Earth Day Indiana festival this weekend at White River State park where there will 130 environmental and conservation exhibits, great music, and good food! Earth Day Indiana sprouted it's roots back in 1990 when the people of Indianapolis decided to get together and hold an official Earth Day celebration.
Earth Day itself started in 1970 when a former senator from Wisconsin decided it was high time to give environmental activists a voice. On April 22, 1970 20 million people held teach-ins and protests to demonstrate for a healthier, cleaner and more sustainable Earth.
The Earth Day celebration downtown is sure to be a great time but don't forget that being sustainable is an every day practice. Here are a few
tips to keep the green going all year long courtesy of the Daily Green!
